Computing prepares children to participate confidently in an ever-changing digital world. At Biggin, we encourage children to use a range of technology to enhance their learning in creative, engaging and purposeful ways, helping them to develop the skills they will need for both future employment and everyday life. To support this, we use Purple Mash to deliver a high-quality, progressive computing curriculum that fully meets the National Curriculum requirements. Purple Mash provides a clear sequence of learning across Computer Science, Information Technology and Digital Literacy, ensuring that pupils develop the knowledge, understanding and digital skills they need at each stage of their education while supporting consistent and effective computing lessons across the whole school.
2BeSafe is an online safety scheme of work developed by Purple Mash that encourages discussion, critical thinking, and deeper reflection to help raise awareness of the importance of staying safe online. These engaging 20-minute online safety lessons are delivered regularly throughout the year, ensuring that key online safety topics are revisited frequently and remain relevant and memorable for pupils.
